I've Been Accepted.

In 40 days I begin the adventure of a lifetime.

Three months spent in the beautiful Antigua, Guatemala, followed immediately by two months in Calcutta, India, every moment of which saturated in "knowing God and making Him known."

I'll be attending a program called a Discipleship Training School, which you can read more about here and here.

There aren't words to describe how excited I am about what's coming, but I suppose I've got to take it in baby steps. First, I've got a totally unrelated, week-long trip to Guatemala, and then there's always learning how to pack for five months in one suitcase and a carry-on, and the endless logistics of plane tickets and visas and international cell phone plans, et cetera, et cetera. For now, here are some photos of Antigua and where I'll be living.

I believe this is what our base in Antigua looks like from the outside; at least, it did in 2008.

I don't know these lovely ladies, but this is the view from the rooftop of our building. I could look at that every morning for three months, for sure.

A couple of beautiful street views of Antigua.

Suffice it to say that I am overwhelmed by excitement for the next chapter of my life.
